Laura has close to a decade of education and experience in the social services field. Over this time, she has had the opportunity to work with a diverse set of clients. Laura began her career by graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Special Education from the University of Georgia. During her studies, she completed a variety of practicums in both elementary and middle school settings. In addition, she completed a full-time internship developing Individualized Education Plans, providing academic instruction, and behavioral interventions to high school student's with moderate to profound disabilities ranging from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cognitive Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, and Down Syndrome. 

Laura continued her career by obtaining a Master's of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Substance Use Disorders at The University of Denver. During her educational and professional training, she had the opportunity to practice within settings including inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, and homeless services. This range of exposure allowed her to treat a multitude of general mental health diagnosis and engage with both abstinence and harm reduction models of substance use treatment. 

When she is not working with clients, Laura enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, watching Netflix, and traveling throughout the United States and around the world.
