Complimentary Initial Phone Consultation:
Before scheduling your first session, Laura offers a free initial phone consultation to briefly discuss your reason(s) for seeking therapy. During this time, you can ask any questions you may have about the therapy process and also determine if the therapeutic relationship with her will be able to address your needs. Upon scheduling an appointment, the initial intake documents will be sent through an individualized electronic client portal. At the beginning of your first appointment each document will be reviewed/discussed. If you are unable to complete the paperwork prior to the first session, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early in order to provide sufficient time for completion.
Rates are comparable to therapists in the greater District of Columbia area with similar training and expertise.

Clinical Consultation (53 minutes) - $200

Laura is an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield CareFirst and Cigna insurance plans. In addition, she can assist clients in seeking reimbursement for out-of-network insurance benefits by providing clients with a monthly statement to submit for insurance reimbursement known as a Superbill. Out-of-network benefits are dependent on client's individual insurance company/plan and cannot be guaranteed. A sliding scale may be considered for those without insurance.
Out-of-network clients will be provided a Good Faith Estimate document prior to the first appointment. The Estimate will be furnished within one business day of scheduling a service to be provided in three business days, or within three business days of scheduling a service to be provided in at least 10 business days. The Estimate will be provided either on paper via USPS mail or sent electronically via email or client portal (preference of delivery will be discussed during the complimentary15 minute consultation). This Estimate serves to prevent any unexpected healthcare cost and is in compliance with The No Surprises Act (Title 45, section 149.610 of the Code of Federal Regulations).
Clients are responsible for paying agreed upon fees for services at the time they are rendered in the forms of cash or checks, regardless of insurance arrangements. Please check your coverage carefully before entering into treatment.
24-hour Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session for any reason, please provide a 24 hour notice or you will be charged the full session fee for the appointment. It is important to note that all cancellation fees are out of pocket expenses as insurance cannot be billed for cancelled sessions. In case of emergency or unforeseen illness this fee may be waived and is up to Laura Winn, LLC's discretion. It is important to note that treatment is more successful with regularly attended appointments!
